No winter lasts forever;
no spring skips its turn.
~Hal Borland
A week of sunshine and rain.
Warmer temperatures with a
little chill each morning and night.
The first Ruffled Pink Azalea buds hiding inside the bush. |
The tiniest lavender flowers, no larger than the end of your finger, nestled in the grass. |
My favorite hydrangea coming back to life. |
Just beyond our backyard neighbor's house is this quiet little pond. Seems the visiting Canada Geese are enjoying swim in the sunshine. |
It is difficult to believe that March is at our doorsteps.
Enjoy the last bit of February.
Hope you all have a lovely week!

Hello, Susan
ReplyDeleteFebruary has been zipping along, although winter is lingering still.
How exciting that you have new growth in your garden, all full of promise for a lush spring and summer. The flowers are beautiful and I think the shot that shows the swirl of hydrangea leaves is striking!
Thank you for sharing your garden at Sunlit Sunday.

Karen.. Thanks for your weekly challenge. It makes view my world a bit differently. Have a great week!
DeleteIsn't it amazing how every year, without fail, we wait for the first signs of spring after a long and cold winter, and when we spot those first pink or red or yellow buds, our hearts beat just a little louder, stronger and brighter?
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely photos of your up and coming stars!
Poppy
Poppy... I watch for the first signs and rejoice when they are in evidence. In my younger years, I would rush to plant marigolds, begonias, and their cousins in my flower beds and pots. I have learned patience and know that Winter is not finished with us just yet! The geraniums can wait for Spring to come and stay. Thanks for the visit!
DeletePretty, pretty, pretty. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome! Have a good week!
DeleteSusan, you already have so much sunshine without the addition of the sun!!!....:)JP
ReplyDeleteYou are too kind! Thanks for dropping in. Have a pleasant week.
DeleteOh, I love your pictures of spring! I am so anxious for color in the yard.
ReplyDeleteI hope your week goes smoothly.
Mildred
Mildred... Me, too! The more color the better!
DeleteLove your spring pics and how nice to be able to go visit that pond; lovely post :)
ReplyDeleteDebra... We could see back across the field until the last homes were built...lucky them!
DeleteYour flower pictures make me want to run home and start puttering in my garden. Lol,I think I'll stay South a bit longer I hear there is still snow on the ground and more on the way. This picture with the ppond is lovely. Have a warm and wonderful week
ReplyDeleteCindy...I have learned to be patient. We know Winter isn't through with us yet! Flower beds can wait until April!
DeleteSusan, you are sooo lucky! No sign of new life here :( The weather threatens to turn cold again tomorrow :( :(
ReplyDeleteChrista...I just enjoy the gifts as they come. I know our Winter isn't over, but I do love the daffodils outside my kitchen window!
DeleteYou live in a very different world down there! Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteYes, aren't we fortunate to share and learn from each other? You, too!
DeleteI'm loving these glimpses of springtime. It really heartens the spirit to see fresh green and hints of color.
ReplyDeleteI remind myself to have patience...Winter isn't over yet! But the promise is here!
DeleteLooks like your garden is coming alive.
ReplyDeleteYes, eagerly awaiting each and every bloom! :-)
DeleteI had missed your previous birds' post as you pointed out, but I checked it. Thank you for that and for the geese in this post, for these pretty flowers and leaves as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting!
DeleteSo beautiful are the flowers...so peaceful is the pond!!! I enjoyed your photo shares. A lot.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by!
DeleteDear Susan,
ReplyDeleteit is so good that spring is coming (though we can't complain: for Berlin ways we had an exceptional mild and sunny winter). I love especially the photo of your hydrangea - it is further on than mine on the balcony, which is still rubbing sleep out of its eyes. Thank you for the lovely photos, Susan!
Britta...our Winter has been one of extremes...either mild or freezing! Springtime is welcome, but afraid old Winter isn't done with us yet! I am enjoying the first glimpses of the new season to come.
DeleteI'm amazed (and jealous) that you have blossoms already!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have a teaser of Spring!
DeleteYour spring flowers are lovely. Enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThanks..appreciative of this early beauty!
DeleteI'm sure the anticipation of spring is in your part of the world as summer seems to be slipping away here in New Zealand. Love your photos. We have some tiny lavender flowers and I photograph them all the time!
ReplyDeleteOh yes...as we anticipate an end to Winter, y'all are saying goodbye to Summer. Hopefully, the change will revitalize us all. Thanks for coming by!
DeleteGorgeous flowers and photographs.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
