Live
in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air.

None of my photos this week were blog-worthy so I thought why not follow my heart, check my files for a photo of a beautiful sunlit cloud over a deep blue ocean? Wishing to be there... even in Winter, my heart longs for the beach... the sand, the sea, the sun.
Good wishes to all for a pleasant week. I have scheduled Wednesday and Thursday to substitute in a pre-k classroom with 20 fantastic, four-year-olds. Thankfully, I am subbing for the teacher's assistant so I'll follow along and ad lib as needed. Now, where did I put that Teacher's Bag of Tricks?

Oh Lord,20 4year olds doesn't bear thinking about. I admire teachers so much.

Gill.. I taught that age for 15 years so I am hoping I can still enjoy the madness! Appreciate your visit!
DeleteThe clouds are so wonderfully backlit in this photo, Susan. It's a beautiful setting and I can see why you love it. I plan to make a trek to the ocean this summer and visit some relatives.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your time with the young ones this week; a few little hugs may come your way.
-Karen
Karen... I just couldn't find anything I was excited about from this week so I decided to follow my heart! I can hardly wait for a quick getaway to the ocean so I know you look forward to your visit. Am definitely counting on those hugs! Thanks for hosting Sunlit!
DeleteMy pleasure, Susan.
DeleteYou're speaking this Island girl's language! Except my ocean is ice bound at the moment :) But I can dream of summer days - they'll be here soon enough!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your days with the wee ones - I'm a teacher too and I love that age!
Kathie...am sure your ice bound beach is lovely even in Winter. Weather forecasts for this week include possible snow as far south as middle Georgia so it will be inside activities for sure. I am retired, but my heart remains in the classroom. Beach girls and teachers...good combination. Happy week!
DeleteHi Susan, Visiting from Sunlit Sunday. You sure know how to make us dream with such a gorgeous picture!
ReplyDeleteYes... I have definitely been dreaming of sand and sun! Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteSusan, my heart too, longs for the beach and the warm sunshine. I love your photo. I am going to check out Sunlit Sunday. That sounds like a fun project. Have fun teaching. Christa
ReplyDeleteSunlit Sunday is a fun activity. Makes me stretch my skills and eye for just the right pic! Happy week!
DeleteBeautiful picture. Ralph Waldo Emerson had the perfect formula! Have a grand day!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cathy! I can usually find common ground with Emerson... Especially about the beach.
DeleteOh how pretty....our beaches don't look quite like that up here near Boston...
ReplyDeleteI love the different looks of beaches throughout the US. I regret not getting to the beach when we visited Boston. I think it calls for a do-over! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHi Susan-Beautiful beach photo. Looking forward to warmer days :)
ReplyDeleteYes..anxiously awaiting! Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet you! Your photo of this most exquisite coastline is very peaceful and pretty. Although it is different than our beaches here in the Mediterranean, it certainly conjures up the same feelings of missing the sand beneath my feet and the rejuvenation of the waves under the sun.
Thanks for sharing and have a lovely week.
Poppy (visiting via Karen's)
You, too, Poppy! The coastline there on St. George is lovely and while filled with a busy row of beach houses can still be extremely peaceful. No matter which side of the world, the beach brings a piece to the spirit like no other place. Thanks for your kind comment.
DeleteWonderful to come by your blog via sunlit sunday. This was a good find for a sub when there isn't or wasn't much sunshine to catch. Seems that isn't all you sub, lol. This is an amazing horizon and I could just poke an umbrella in the sand and grab a book as long as it was warm, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou may have hit on something here... Instead of being retired I could be a professional sub...whatever and whenever needed...no matter the vocation! Yes, definitely the perfect place for an umbrella and a book! Thanks for dropping in...happy week!
DeleteBeautiful picture. Wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the little ones!
Jen, me too! I think there is a special spot on that beach with our names on it! Looking forward to being back in the classroom. Happy week...Susan
DeleteOh! I so wish that I was on that beach. Coming over from Sunlit Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMarlys...Me, too! I would settle for a cold breezy walk in the sand with a nice hot latte waiting when I got back inside! Thanks for your visit.
DeleteJust the picture I needed to see this morning. It's warmer today, but it's just a blip in this long, long winter. Thanks for some sunlight.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Carol. Snow and ice expected as far as South Georgia-North Florida tomorrow...definitely a fickle January... Today's high was 71 degrees F!
DeleteDear Susan,
ReplyDeletesuch a beautiful photo - and yes: to be at the sea is greatest joy! I think: in every season, though of course I prefer summer too. Have a good time with the kids!
Thanks, Britta. Hope all is well with you and yours! Happy week!
DeleteYou chose a beautiful photo for this post. Sometimes in life we have to look back to see beauty, and at the same time, realize that life ahead will hold more of it, too.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the classroom. I'm an on call teacher, too - but at the other end of the age spectrum - high school!
Thanks for dropping by Lorrie. Due to ice and snow, school has been cancelled for Wednesday. Here in the Deep South we are totally unprepared for slippery roads! Stay cozy!
DeleteI like your choice! Good thinking!
ReplyDeleteI am keeping this image close. Our temps are scheduled to drop below freezing with snow and ice. We are too far south to contend with this!
DeleteI hope your time in the kindergarten classes went well.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I enjoy the beach not matter what the weather. Any day is a good day for the beach here - at this time of year it's cold and misty, but still a great place for a walk. Your photo is beautiful!
School was cancelled on the days I was scheduled to work. Totally believe a cold or rainy day at the beach is as good as a sunny day anywhere else!
