Scavenger Hunt - April Challenge

What fun to find the photo scavenger hunt hosted by Made with Love. Hope you will visit her and the other participants. Enjoyed the challenge!

Pink - Dragon Wing Begonia

6 - Handsome gulls resting on rocks - Port St. Joe, Florida

My Town - As in many small towns, especially in the South, the church plays an integral role. Definitely true for me and this little Methodist church. Always think of it and the people who helped shape my life when I think of "home."

Sport - My granddaughter's soccer team won the league championship! Go Titans!

Night Light
Trying to catch the "blue" light just before sunset. Not successful, but the dogwood branch looks pretty against the dark sky.

Collection - My house is filled with  my fine feathered friends.

Big - The vastness of the ocean always leaves me in awe.

 Dinner - Yum?

 Texture - Nature's best

Curl - The curl of the waves in the Gulf of Mexico ...
I LOVE the ocean!

Take Off - And a big splash landing!

Plastic - When pigs fly? What's not to love?

Pop in over at Made with Love  and join the fun!

flowers in the house with love to Boston

Spring came and left in the blink of an eye here. The lovely dogwoods, azaleas, cherry, and pear trees are now adorned with lush green foliage. The last purple iris looked grand in my grandmother's bud vase.

Oh yes... when pigs fly.... she flaps her wings and brings smiles to all. Keeping company with my bromo seltzer bottles filled with
rosea azaleas.

The amaryllis are splendid! Red with white and white with red... both so pretty and cheerful.

Can't wait to get over to Jane's Flowers in the House party. Thinking everyone could use a break, a glass of sweet tea, and some porch time with good friends. Peace to all.

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon restore you by night,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have.
May gentle breezes refresh your soul.
And all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world
And know its beauty.

Bits of Easter

When my children were home, our house was decorated for every holiday... not so much anymore. I am not sure if it's age, complacency, or what? Then I walked by a shelf... lo and behold... there they are!

A pair of handmade little wooden bunnies
Bunny Baby

A precious little pair ... ready for Spring!
Little terracotta bunny and Easter basket perched on vintage wooden blocks.

Bunnies, baskets, and porcelain Easter rabbits all decked out in their
finery. Can you really look at something for so long that you fail to see?

Am guessing that is very possible and flows over into all parts of my life. Ummm... wonder what else I am walking by daily and failing to see? Chances are it includes those "dust bunnies" under the furniture and that fine protective covering of dust that layers this and that. If you look closely, you may even see a bit of that in the photos!

Ok... guilt lead me to bring out Sallie. She's been on the closet shelf far too long.

Happy, Happy Easter

Flowers in the House ~ Almost Spring 2013

Shh... No one told the dogwood, the Bradford Pear or the azalea that Spring is still 2 days away! All are beginning to put on a lovely show as this very dysfunctional Winter winds down!

Dogwood - Bromo Seltzer Bottle
While the real show is outside my window, I couldn't resist bringing in a few stems of this and that to join Jane's party - Flowers in the House. Hope you will hop on over and join the fun!
 Daffodils & Tulips

Ruffled Azalea - Ceramic Finger Vase
