Summer in the South ~ Air You Can Wear

HOT, HOT, HOT ~ Air you can wear!

Weather is all something we can relate to...
love it or hate it... we have no control!

Temps were above the 100 degree mark for several days last week....
now we are more than 10 degrees lower and NO humidity!
Outside activities are doable and pleasant!

Just a glimpse at my summer...

Cape San Blas, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico

Summer means happy times and good sunshine.
It means going to the beach, going to Disneyland, having fun.     Brian Wilson

  1. Susan--your flowers are glorious. I especially love the zinnias--I must plant some next year. Your gulf trip looks amazing the water, the beach. the sun. Perfect. I've never been to north Florida and want to check it out. It sounds quite different from south Florida and more my cup of tea. I'm glad it's cooled off a bit for you. xo, Jen

    1. Jen... Check out the area known as "the forgotten coast." Wonderful little towns such as Carrabelle, Apalachicola, Port St. Joe have much to offer as does St. George Island, Cape San Blas, and further west to one of my very favorites, Navarre. The Apalachicola River basin is beautiful...much to see. Lots of small town charm along with beautiful beaches...truly a wonderful place! Another spot I want to visit is Black Island, accessible only by boat Thanks for your visit...Happy Labor Day weekend! Susan

  2. Susan, your flowers don't seem to mind the weather (or have you been protecting from the heat?). They look very happy. I like your collages. Nice work! Keep cool my friend. The weather will get nicer soon.

    1. Christa...no special treatment for the flowers. Thankfully, we have a few late afternoon thunderstorms that help with the watering. I enjoy playing around with PicMonkey turning my photos into something more! Thanks for your kind comment. I know Fall is just around the corner...so we are enjoying what's left of our summer...hope you are, too! Happy weekend! Susan

    1. Hello, Britta! I have had a very low profile this summer... A bit of lurking and minimal postings! Not sure why, but it seemed I had little to say...a definite change for me! Husband would probably disagree with that statement! Appreciate your visit! Take care...Susan

  4. Susan, because temperature becomes cruel at the height of 100 degree celsius, beach is a creation. More than brunt of the heat, enjoyment along beach matters. Thanks.

    1. The beach is definitely the place to be in the heat. We have cooled down to temperatures in the 90 degree (F) range. Thanks for your visit.
