flowers in the house with love to Boston

Spring came and left in the blink of an eye here. The lovely dogwoods, azaleas, cherry, and pear trees are now adorned with lush green foliage. The last purple iris looked grand in my grandmother's bud vase.

Oh yes... when pigs fly.... she flaps her wings and brings smiles to all. Keeping company with my bromo seltzer bottles filled with
rosea azaleas.

The amaryllis are splendid! Red with white and white with red... both so pretty and cheerful.

Can't wait to get over to Jane's Flowers in the House party. Thinking everyone could use a break, a glass of sweet tea, and some porch time with good friends. Peace to all.

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon restore you by night,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have.
May gentle breezes refresh your soul.
And all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world
And know its beauty.

  1. Sweet tea on the porch sounds perfect.
Love the vignette in your first picture--flowers and books!
Hard to believe you are at the end of spring. The forsythia are just starting here.

    1. The amaryllis have survived chilly nights and windy days...enjoy seeing them from my kitchen window. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Azaleas and amaryllis are such an incongruent pairing for me, One I think spring, the other Christmas.

I would love to be to enjoy them together.

I see my first iris in bud.

This was lovely to wake up to this morning.

Thank you for joining in the party.

    1. Jane.. It's really pretty when my purple iris and amaryllis bloom at the same time. Not this year, but every now and then. Funny, I have never had an amaryllis bloom inside even though I see them every Christmas! Thanks for hosting!

  4. Hello Susan,
You are way ahead of us. The weather is strange here. One day I barely saw some buds on our dogwood, the next day (so it seemed), the whole tree was in bloom. This is a very tricky weather for someone who sells flowers!!!

    1. Christa... Much the same here. I did manage a few photos and then they were gone! I can't imagine the uncertainty of growing and selling flowers... But so glad that you and many others do. Your harvest adds so much to many life events and just ordinary days! Thanks for stopping by.

  5. All your flowers are very lovely. We still are awaiting the iris. The seasons sure are different every year and around the country!
